Referral Services

Referral Services

Every admittance to Success Home satisfies the standards outlined in our mission statement. Admission decisions are decided in collaboration with representatives of the referring local authority, parents / guardians, and other agencies involved in the care of the child / young person.

We give places based on our belief that the services and facilities can meet the needs of the child or young person.

During the first assessment of a referred individual’s needs, we take placement suitability into account. We consider the overall stability and safety of the home, as well as the needs of children/young people already in placement, along with all information gathered about the potential placement, then we determine if the child can be successfully accommodated and achieve positive outcomes with our available facilities and resources.

Bithoms Home

Pertaining to this, we also accept emergency admissions based on the circumstances, relevant information obtained, and urgency. Young people will be placed in Success Home after careful consideration of their needs, with a belief that we can provide the right environment to meet the young person’s individual needs. The dynamics of the current children in our care and their individual needs will be considered prior to any admission.

Role modelling and positive relationships Independence and Equal opportunities Promoting positive behaviour

Success homeWe place emphasis on listening to and supporting young people in achieving their goals and realising their dreams and aspirations.

Our staff are caring and appropriate role models, who are experienced and well trained in offering a service, that guarantee important “outcomes” for young people through the application of choices, activities and consistent boundaries

Success HomeWe strongly believe and actively pursue that every child should be given the same opportunities hence, we ensure fairness in our approach.

We encourage young people to access their local and wider community and access vast and varied activities specifically developed for them.

We also develop tailored made independence programs to teach a variety of personal, social and independence skills that will allow young people to develop and become confident adults.

We use a combination of praise, reward and recognition with routines and boundaries to promote positive behaviour. Staff support the children to understand their behaviour and the rationale for set goals and boundaries.
